Terms of Service

The rules for using this site — what it offers, how you may use it, and who owns the content.

Last updated: 16 June 2026.

1. Operator

This site is operated by FlowExplain (the “Operator”). For any matters related to these Terms, contact: legal@flowexplain.com.

2. Scope of the service

The site provides free access to educational content — articles, explainers and interactive animations — and a contact form for getting in touch with the Operator. Use of the site is voluntary and free of charge. There are no user accounts and no paid services.

3. Technical requirements

To use the site you need a device with internet access and an up-to-date web browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled. Some interactive elements may not work correctly without JavaScript.

4. Acceptable use

  • You may use the site for your own lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes.
  • You must not supply unlawful content (e.g. via the contact form) or use the site in a way that breaks the law, infringes third-party rights, or disrupts its operation or security.
  • You must not interfere with the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use automated tools to overload or scrape it (see also section 5).

The Operator may restrict or refuse access in the event of a breach of these Terms or the law.

5. Intellectual property

All materials available on the site — including the text and articles, the interactive animations and their source code, illustrations, graphics, icons, the layout, look and design, the FlowExplain name and logo, and the selection, arrangement and presentation of all of the above — are the property of the Operator (or are used by it under licence) and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights reserved.

You may view and interact with the content in your browser for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may link to the original pages on this site. Beyond that, without the Operator’s prior written consent you must not, in whole or in part:

  • copy, reproduce, download (beyond ordinary browser caching), store, republish, distribute, publicly share or display, transmit, sell or otherwise commercialise the content;
  • modify the content or create derivative works based on it;
  • reuse, adapt, re-implement or imitate the interactive animations — including their source code, design, motion and visual presentation — in your own projects, products or websites;
  • scrape, harvest, crawl or extract the content by automated means;
  • use the content to train, fine-tune or build machine-learning or AI systems;
  • frame, embed or hot-link the site or its content within other services so as to present it as your own;
  • remove, hide or alter any copyright, authorship or other proprietary notices.

Copyright protects the concrete expression of the work — for example a specific animation, its code, the exact wording of an article and its visuals — rather than general ideas or facts as such. Accordingly, reproducing or closely imitating that expression without permission is prohibited. If you would like to reuse any of this material, request permission first at legal@flowexplain.com.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The content is provided for general educational and informational purposes, on an “as is” basis. The Operator makes no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness or suitability for a particular purpose, and the content does not constitute professional advice. You use the site and rely on its content at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the content or for any damage arising from use of (or inability to use) the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for intentional harm and any mandatory consumer rights).

7. External links

The site may contain links to third-party websites. The Operator does not control them and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

8. Complaints

You can report any issues with the site by email at legal@flowexplain.com. The Operator will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 14 days.

9. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated — for example when the scope of the service or the applicable law changes. The current version is always available on this page, with the last-updated date shown at the top.

10. Final provisions

These Terms are governed by Polish law, without prejudice to mandatory protections that apply to consumers under the law of their place of residence. Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
